Our Story
DEEP ROOTS
Bob Marley dreamt of one day putting his passion for music into farming, a dream finally brought to life through his son Rohan Marley. Marley Coffee was founded in 2007 by Rohan Marley to honor Bob Marley’s legacy and pays homage to his humble beginnings.
"My father came from the farmland in Nine Mile. There, he learned a deep respect for nature and humanity that helped guide his life. His dream was to return one day.” says Rohan Marley.
When asked “Why coffee?” Rohan Marley often speaks of his family and their legacy. He comes from a family full of passion for music and the earth.
JOURNEY TO ETHIOPIA
On a journey to a monastery on Lake Tana, Ethiopia, in 2000, Rohan visited a local coffee farm. He began to understand that, like the music his family creates, people have a rhythm. The passion that Rohan saw in the farmers inspired him to follow his passion and create Marley Coffee.
ROASTING IN EUROPE
Marley Coffee debuted in the United Kingdom and Europe in 2012 and offers ten intensely flavourful blends, including a single origin Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee.
